Today applications are deployed on everything from mobile devices to cloud-based clusters of thousands of servers, response times are expected to be in the range of milliseconds and 100% uptime is taken for granted. The amount of data has increased to petabytes.
To meet these requirements we need reactive systems that are responsive, resilient, elastic and message driven.
This talk shows how reactive techniques can be used to build large scale and high performance back end applications as well as to support responsiveness in the front end. Hands on examples are presented using RxJava, Reactor and RxJS.
